Ways I Wore It Wednesday - Cute and Comfortable Cook-Out Attire

Happy Wednesday Ladies!

Ways I Wore It Wednesday is quickly becoming my favorite day of the week!  I love working with the boutique items and styling the weeks outfit!

This week we chose the Red Ruffled Roses Tank and styled it for a summer cook-out with friends.

The statement piece:

Simply Style Boutique - Red Ruffled Roses Tank
For my look, I paired the tank with a cute and comfortable pairs of shorts and added wedges to dress up the look! (shorts and wedges from Target...shocking, I know!)

Of course I am addicted to having a watch on so I added a gold chain bracelet to throw an arm party!

How would you dress this adorable ruffle tank?

Life has been an unending to-do list!

Life lately has been busy, but in the best kind of way!!
I feel like when I wake up I hit the ground running.  We have our wedding invites out, flowers ordered, venue and DJ booked, attire set (besides shoes for me, I am on the hunt again for shoes... deja vu!).  Everything is starting to fall in place and we can not be more excited for September 14th to get here!

Date Night Outfit's with Karissa!

Sometimes putting together a date outfit can be hard!  The summer can be especially difficult because you don't have a lot of layering options when it's so warm outside. The gorgeous Karissa and I have collaborated to bring you 2 Summer Date Night Outfits.  One is a more casual look while the other is a perfect dressy look.  Hopefully they can help inspire you the next time you have somewhere fun to go and are struggling to throw an outfit together.

Emily's Look:

A normal date night for Brandon and I consists of quick errands around town before dinner and a movie.  We have never been the “fancy” dinner date type, and would forgo a 7-course meal for Happy Hour specials at a restaurant on the water any day!

Cute and Casual is what I was going for with this light breezy top and shorts.  I paired the look with these oh-so –comfortable tan wedges!  I kept the jewelry simple because of the great patterned neckline of the tunic.I am a Target junkie, so it is no surprise that the top, shorts and wedges are all from target.  The accessories, from Simply Style Boutique. This outfit is simple enough for errands and the movies, and the three-quarter length tunic is just enough for dinner on the patio as the temperature dips when the sun sets at the beach!

Karissa's Look:

Krieg and I went downtown for dinner and to a play for our anniversary so I wanted to get dressed up.  The play was in an outdoor amphitheater and I needed something light and airy so I didn't find myself sticking to my seat!  I also did a little up-do because the heat always flattens my hair out real quick.  Here's what I came up with-

Dress: Bohme | Wedges: Nordstrom Rack | Belt/Jewelry: Borrowed

It was comfortable, cute and light weight for a Saturday night downtown!

What is your go to summer date night outfit?

Weekend Recap

This weekend was a good one!  Any weekend that ends with more items scratched off the to-do list than added is a success in my book.
Saturday, after a painful morning at the dentist (i had a new girl, ouch) I met up with Brandon to pick out our wedding bands!  I am so excited and can't wait till they come in!! {some parts of wedding planning is so tedious, but some is just so fun!}
We made our way over to target to look over our registry and since we were right beside the movie theater decided to pop in and see "2 Guns".

Definitely a good one!  It's marky-mark... You can't really go wrong.

After the movie Brandon had mentioned wanting to put some tools on the wedding registry.  Since target and bed, bath, and beyond aren't lining their shelves with power tools, we headed to Sears where Brandon proceeded to make the world's manliest wedding registry!! Haha

We ended the night getting some snuggle time in with Brandon's adorable niece when we stopped by his brother's house.

Sunday was some hard core wedding details shopping with my mom and dad.  We picked up a ton of items and got to work on some table decor.  Pinterest is both a blessing and a curse when it comes to wedding planning.  So many great ideas, but too many to pick from, it's hard to them narrow down and make a decision.

Two days was not nearly a long enough weekend, but I have my eye on Friday when my sister, mom and I are headed to Pennsylvania for my bridal shower with my relatives!
