Paddleboarding and puppies.. how was your weekend?!

Can we start our Monday with a high-five to mother nature for some awesome weather this weekend!!  Now, we are back to Monday and the rain has already started... but I'll take it.

This weekend was definitely a good one! 

Friday started with a Going Away party for Brandon's Uncle who headed out to sea on Sunday with the Navy.  Brandon had to work, so I went to hang out with his family. 

Saturday I started with some coffee and to-do lists for wedding prep! (the lists seem to be never ending!)

After my list was complete and I chatted with my sister a bit who had come over to lay by the pool it was off to the stores to grab some wedding supplies at the craft shops.  I could spend hours in those places.  They are like Pinterest in that they make me feel way more creative than I am!

Then out to the farm to help Brandon with some dog houses for the beagles.  Those puppies are getting more adorable everyday!

Sunday was a perfect day.  While Brandon got up early to head to work, I got up and headed down to the Outer Banks to visit with my family {poor guy misses all the fun things}.  My parents and brothers were down visiting with my aunt, uncle and cousins from Pennsylvania.  The sand was scorching hot, the water was ice cold, but the weather was perfect! 

I even got to try out paddleboarding for the first time!  The wind was crazy, but I was pretty proud of myself for staying up the whole time.  Though on the water and fighting the wind by yourself seems more fun in theory... I think it would be a bit more exciting if you had a destination and someone out there with you!

Rocked this little suit at the beach on Sunday and I would like to send out a PSA that this top, while adorable for beach romping, is not built for water sports {mainly paddling through waves on giant boards)!  Thank goodness the go-pro was not on while I was on the paddleboard... that video would not be family friendly!

We spent the day down on the beach and then after dinner I drove back home because it is back to work for me this Monday.  (though the idea of just living on the beach did cross my mind more than once!)

We grew by 12 little feet

No sextuplets over here... but we do have 3 tiny little additions!

 

 

I mentioned a couple weeks back that these pretty little girls were born on the 19th of May.  They were born to one of our beagles, Lily.

 

Brandon is what you call "hunting obsessed" and lives for hunting season.  A couple years back when we were living in Christiansburg, we got 2 hunting beagles to go run with him during rabbit season.  Teqi and Mack were happy little campers and we later we added Lily and Bell.  Teqi and Mack have had 2 liters of puppies of their own and now Lily is a new mom too (her baby's daddy is a friend's beagle).  So that adds to a total of 11 beagles!

 

They are the sweetest dogs and live on the farm where we are building our home.

 

The puppies are still adorably tiny and have just started to open their eyes.  This weekend I finally got to hold them!!!  I can't wait till they start to run, it is quite possibly the most adorable thing ever to watch puppies trip over their pawns.

Oddly enough, the other beagles would not cooperate for a group photo, so I'll have to keep working on that one!

High Five for Friday!

We made it to the weekend!!! {a little wore out and water logged, but we made it!}

a happy Birth-day to our new little puppies!!

We have hunting beagles and Lily had her first liter of puppies on Sunday.  They are quite possibly the cutest things ever!!  How can you not want to snuggle those little babies!

(Hunting season can't come fast enough for Brandon.  Looks like I will get to hang out with these little ones when the big kids go off to play in the fall!)

Our honeymoon is BOOKED!!! Eekkk!!

I want to hop on a plan now!!! Can't wait till September to spend my days in Punta Cana with the new hubs!!

A 3-day weekend!!! 
My memorial day weekend consists of bike rides, bar crawls, beach and pool time!! Ahh perfection!!

(there is no picture to go with this one... and whatever you do, don't google "3-day weekend images", especially at work.  it may or may not be the title of a naughty movie.  this was discovered the hard way}
